Article Marketing with Articles Biz

I am sure that most of your reading my blog (yes there are a few people who read it) are aware of the value of article marketing - submitting articles to article directories to promote your expertise and to build links back to your web site to improve your search engine ranking. I have been doing this on and off for the past year and have recently started to get more serious about the technique. (Just type Rikki Arundel into Google and you will see how successful I have been)

Last week I decided to take the plunge and launch my own article directory ArticlesBiz.com - OK I am hopeful that this will develop into a good Google Adsense and product income stream. However what promoted me to undertake the huge learning curve was that Public Speaking is so often treated as a single directory entry tucked away under Writing. I accept there is a great synergy between the two, but I am trying to develop a list of subject categories that are highly relevant to Speakers in the business community and which I hope will become a primary source of articles for the kind of people who book speakers.

But I need your help. Quite simply I need you to submit some articles that you are happy for other people to publish in their newsletters, ezines, blogs and web sites. The benefit for you is that every time your article is published - it includes your resource box, (a small paragraph promoting you as the author.

If article marketing is new to you - I have some tips here on my Speaking and Marketing Tips web site - and in particular I recommend that you send a blank email to articletemplate@gendershift.com (just click on the link and send) to receive an article writing template you can copy into your text editor. By the way, if you use MS Word to write any content for the web it is important that you first disable all the auto formatting like "smart quotes" because they will cause you problems. (Click Tools/AutoCorrect Options and clear the check boxes in Autoformat and Autoformat as you Type)
